DAVISON (DTV) – (10/02/2024) – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Davison’s own Mr. Beamer is supporting the fight against breast cancer by competing in the “Real Men Wear Pink” Campaign.
His goal for this year is to raise $2,500 for the American Cancer Society. To support Mr. Beamer you can go to the “Real Men Wear Pink” website HERE.
Another way to support him is by going to Hilton Screeners and buying one of his “You don’t have to be this cool to wear pink” t-shirts for $10. A portion of the proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. Be sure to wear these shirts to the Pink Out Game against Grand Blanc on October 18th.
Beamer says his reason for supporting the cause and wearing pink is, “Breast cancer affects everyone – it doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman. That’s why I’m stepping up to fight breast cancer with all I have. Since I’m in a position to make a difference within my community, I believe I have an obligation to do so. By raising money and awareness through Real Men Wear Pink, I’m helping to save more lives from breast cancer.”

DAVISON (DTV) – (9/11/2024) – Friday, September 13th is the first home game for DHS varsity football. They will be taking on Traverse City Central. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. The game theme is “Gold Out” and is a fundraising event to raise awareness for childhood cancer.
If you are planning on coming out to the game, there are some new rules and regulations for Cardinal Stadium and any home varsity events.
Below is an email that was sent out by Davison Community Schools outlining the changes.
“As we continue to focus on safety and providing the best experience for our players, students, fans and spectators, we have made some changes to our protocols for attending home varsity athletic events. Please make note of the new admission procedures:
Since we anticipate that these new procedures will likely take more time at the ticket booth, security officers will be at the ticket entrance to help keep the lines flowing by checking photo IDs of those who appear to be under the age of 21 prior to ticket purchases.
Other important information to note in regard to admission to regular season events:
Thank you for your support and patience as we enact these new protocols. Go Cards!”
If attending the game, you will also notice the new parking lot on the north side of the high school! If parking in the north lot in the bust loop area, use the YELLOW lines to park in. The diagonal white lines are for buses.

DAVISON (DTV) – (08/20/2024) – If you’re driving into DHS, it’s hard to ignore the ongoing construction in the parking lot. The student drop-off loop has yet to be completed, so parents were given an alternate route to take their kids to school. This has resulted in traffic back-ups on and around the campus, with one line backing up all the way to M-15. On the first day of school, this congestion caused some buses to be delayed by upwards of 45 minutes for elementary school students.
The high school security team has been managing traffic, and barrels with directions have been placed to aid drivers in following the drop-off loop. On August 16th an email was sent to parents and students with a map of the temporary pick-up and drop-off loop at DHS/DAE, as seen below:

Please remember to stay patient while we work through this and drive safely! For more information on the parking lot situation, check out our update on YouTube!
