For any seniors or juniors absent yesterday morning there was an informational prom meeting held in the auditorium. This year prom will be held at Spartan Stadium and tickets are on sale now! You can purchase them in Mrs. Aboneaaj’s room 231 or Miss Long’s room 314 for $75 each. When purchasing tickets you will need to pick a bus number so pick accordingly. If you plan on attending you need to be at at the high school no later than 3:45 PM and park on the far East side of the building where buses will be lined up. When boarding the buses you need to get on the bus with the number that matches your ticket number. On the buses you are not allowed to have food or bags that are not any bigger than a clutch purse. Drinks are allowed, but only if they are sealed. When the event is over you must ride in the same bus that you came in. Buses will arrive back at the school between 11 and 11:30 PM. Davison Early Dismissals
All Davison Community Schools will be released early today in lieu of the snowstorm that is expected to continue through Thursday afternoon.
Dismissal times are as follows:
Hahn Intermediate- 1:30
Davison High School and Davison Alternative Education- 1:45
Central, Hill, and Thompson Elementary- 3:15
Gates and Siple Elementary- 3:30
All after school activities are also cancelled.
Early School Release
Due to unsafe road conditions, all schools will be released early to ensure that all students get home safely. Davison Middle School and Hahn Intermediate will be released at 2:00 while the High School and Alternative Education building will be released at 2:15. Along with early release, all after school events will be canceled. Drive safe!
H2O for the 810
The citizens of Flint are struggling to keep a healthy lifestyle, given that they can’t use their own water. Davison High School is stepping up and sending aid. This Saturday, February 6th, Davison hockey fans can get into the game for $1.00 is one case of water is donated to help those in Flint. On the contrary, DECA started the H2O for 810 project. Starting on Monday, February 8th, anyone can donate money or water to the H2O for 810 project in the main office or in the Cardinal shop at lunch.
All About that Code
The Cardinal Code has been a way for students to remind themselves how to behave for years, and the Gates Elementary staff made a great video to show it off.
The lyrics were written by Marie Glenn, a teacher at Gates, the video was filmed and produced by Jake Balla from the DHS tech department, and Colin O’Lear from DTV edited the video.
