The renowned Davison track team starts their season today

SAGINAW(DTV) – (3/23/22) – The Davison High School Track Team starts off their season at an invitational meet in Saginaw. The meet started at 12 pm and will be lasting all day. DTV will be airing one of their meets on May 13th on our YouTube channel and Charter Channel 191.

Davison girls bowling takes the MHSAA Bowling runner up title; boys finish in final four

ALLEN PARK (DTV) – (3/4/2022) – The boys and girls bowling teams headed to Allen Park as most people were still in bed. They arrived at 7 a.m. and had a whole day of competition ahead.

Both Davison teams swept opponents out of the round of 16 with a 3rd place finish for the boys and a 5th place finish for the girls. The Elite 8 was ahead.

The guys were paired with Macomb Dakota and the girls had Grandville. Both teams took the win, the guys winning with a score of 1312-1284 and the girls winning 1200-1148. For the first time since 2006, both teams for one school were in the final four for bowling.

Unfortunately for the boys, they lost to a strong Franklin team that won 1383-1278. However, the girls continued with ease and won against Farmington 1364-1049. It was time for the finals.

It was the final matchup for the girls, Davison v.s. Macomb Dakota. The boys had beat Macomb’s boy’s team in the first round, it was the Macomb’s girl’s mission to defeat the Lady Cards.

They ended up doing just that. The match stayed competitive for a couple of frames, however, the Macomb girls dominated with strike after strike to take the state title.

It was still a great placement for both Davison bowling teams, congratulations on a great year!

Davison and Grand Blanc set to face off for district finals for the 4th year in a row

DAVISON (DTV) – (3/4/2022) – After winning their match against Oxford, Grand Blanc locked in a spot in the district finals. Not long after, Davison won their match against Lapeer pinning them up against Grand Blanc. This will be their fourth straight time meeting up in the district finals. Davison took the 2020 crown before COVID cut their season short, but GB has the 2019 and 2021 trophies to their name. DTV will not be streaming this game but will have social media coverage and highlights after the game. But if you want to catch the action live tickets are available at the front door tip-offs at 7 pm.

Four Davison wrestlers are state champions

DETROIT (DTV) – (3/3/2022) – Davison Wrestling came out with a team state champ title and four individual state champs. Remy Cotton, Jimmy Colley, Caden Horwath, and Josh Barr came out ready to compete! This is Josh and Caden’s third time in a row winning the individuals for their weight class and Jimmy’s second. Congratulations Davison Wrestling!

Davison’s new girls basketball head coach is put to the test in her first playoff game tonight

Davison’s new girl’s basketball head coach skills will be tested tonight in her first-ever playoff game for the Davison girls basketball team.
In 2020, the team was on a hot streak demolishing teams such as Kearsley, Lapeer, Grand Blanc, Carman-Ainsworth, and had just beat Carman-Ainsworth by 5 points when their next game with Midland Dow as an opponent got canceled.

Following this in 2021, Davison and Lapeer met in district semi-finals ending in Lapeer’s defeat 21 to 52, after this Davison faced off against Grand Blanc and lost 42 to 47!

Keasley vs Lapeer District Mania Game 1

DAVISON (DTV) – (3/2/2022) – Keasley and Lapeer kicked off the first girls basketball district game on Monday! Check out the details of the game and stay tuned as DTV will be covering all of the district games for the rest of this week and next week! Welcome to District Mania!

Tryouts are coming up

DAVISON (DTV) – (3/1/2022) – Some tryouts are coming up soon. Here are the teams and the times:

Davison varsity dance team- 

  • Date: March 8th-10th
  • Time: 5:30 pm-7 pm
  • Where: Davison high school cafeteria

Davison varsity pompon team-

  • Date: March 15th-17th
  • Time: 4 pm-6 pm 
  • Where: Siple Elementary

Lacrosse team-

Girl’s Varsity 

  • Date: March 14th-16th
  • Time: 3 pm-5pm
  • Where: Football practice fields

Boy’s Varsity 

  • Date: March 14th-16th
  • Time: 5 pm-7 pm
  • Where: Football practice fields

Parent meeting for girls is at 6 pm. The boys’ parent meeting is at 7 pm. Both are in the Davison high school auditorium. 

Bring a water bottle and wear proper attire, but no experience is required to try out for the teams. 

DTV’s District Mania begins

DAVISON (DTV) – (3/1/2022) – Davison is hosting the SVL Basketball districts for both boys and girls. DTV’s District Mania will cover all of these games with highlights, packages, and more! A full list of them can be found below!

Girls:

Wednesday, March 2nd:

G2: Grand Blanc vs. Oxford, 5:30 p.m.

G3: Davison vs. Lapeer, 7:00 p.m.

Friday, March 4th:

G4: G2 winner vs. G3 winner, 7:00 p.m.
