DAVISON (DTV) – (6/8/2020) – On June 7th, more than 200 people gathered for a Black Lives Matter Protest. Held at the Davison Library, civilians of Davison rallied for this national movement. A story about the BLM protest that happened right here in the city of flags.

DAVISON (DTV) – (5/11/2020) – DTV’s third virtual newscast has been posted and this edition is special.
The anchors for this newscast are Rebekah Allen (News), Clarah Hubbard (News), and Ryley Wilcox (Sports) who are all seniors.

DTV wins big from several broadcasting competitions
DAVISON (DTV) – (5/11/2020) – DTV News has accumulated a total of 10 1st place awards, 7 2nd place awards, 5 3rd place awards, and a dozen honorable mentions from the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association (MIPA) Spring Awards. A complete list of all 34 award winners will be found below! About 2 months ago DTV won awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters as well(MAB). A complete list of those awards can be viewed below or on the MAB website! More awards were also won from the Emmy’s and Ball State University!

New edition of Brown’s Blog geared towards Seniors
DAVISON (DTV) – (5/3/2020) – Superintendent Brown hosts another virtual edition of Brown’s Blog.
In this edition, he announces that himself, DHS Principal Jacobs, and other administrators are trying to gather and create a plan that has options for seniors.
For example, he states that some possible graduation dates are June 29th and July 13th. Also, a couple of possible senior pick-up days are May 26th and May 28th.
Next week, Jacobs is to send a letter out informing staff, students, and teachers of what is in this plan.

Davison State Champion Quarterback Brendan Sullivan announces where he will play football in college
DAVISON (DTV) – (4/20/2020) – The Junior Quarterback Brendan Sullivan who led the Davison Cardinals to their first-ever state championship in football in division one has announced where he will be playing in college.
First, let’s talk about how he got here.
He started receiving major attention at the beginning of the 2019-2020 football season.
While leading the Cards to an impressive 12-2 season, he began getting offer after offer from colleges. After the third game of the season, specifically, is where he received his first offer, coming from Central Michigan. After that, Ball State, Northwestern, and many other schools followed suit.
Even during playoffs, colleges all around wanted him to be on their team and made offers.
He has been awarded many accolades that grabbed their attention, the most impressive being finishing final 5 for Mr. Football in Michigan, junior all sports athlete of the year, and the most obvious, winning the Divison 1 Football State Championship in Michigan.

During the 2019-2020 football season, he made 165 total completions that added up to 3,045 passing yards, exceeding his goal of 2,000. Sullivan had an outstanding 33 passing TD’s at the end of the season.
In the championship game, he rounded out to an impressive 330 total yards while 40 of them being rushing. He also had 2 rushing touchdowns as well as 1 passing.
Brendan Sullivan has released where he will be taking his talents to the collegiate level, and that will be Northwestern University
