A Total Loss for a Davison Family
DAVISON (DTV) – (1/21/2022) – On September 4th of 2021, the Laidler family lost everything in a matter of minutes by a fire that raged through their home. Jagger is a student at Davison High School and was at a friend’s house the night of the fire.
“I went out to my friend’s car to charge my phone and that’s when I got the call and that was the worst call of my life and my mom’s voice is just a scream,” Jagger said during an interview with him and his mother. “Just a voice I’ve never heard before and it was just a simple five-second call and not much more than that. It was just ‘Jagger… Our house is burning down.'”
Susie Laidler, Jagger’s Mom, said she has never seen anything like it before. “It’s a whole different experience when you sit there and watch your house burn down and your whole life, everything you own — gone in a second”
Two members of the Laidler family were also lost in the fire, their two pups. “I’m so used to them running up to me when I get [home] and when we pull up in the driveway I’m so used to stopping and yelling at them for running in front of the car and when that doesn’t happen, you just know.”
