DAVISON (DTV) – (06/11/2019) – Everyday millions of people are on their phones. Most of them aren’t paying any attention to their surroundings. They run into people and a lot of times they don’t acknowledge their friends or family. We often get too caught up with what’s in our phones, rather then what’s going on around us. Watch this short PSA to see reasons why our phones should be down and our heads need to be up!

DAVISON (DTV) – (05/09/2019) – The Davison high school’s rendition of Willy Wonka was a sweet treat given to the Davison community.
Over 50 students took part in the musical as cast members, stage techs, and the pit orchestra. They put tons of work in for a few months including: painting, building sets, rehearsing, and learning choreography. The hard work paid off because the crowd seemed to love every single second of the show. singing, or acting.
There were many funny parts of the show and Director Mrs. Orkisz explains to us how one of funniest was unintentional.

DTV Presents: FNL
On Channel 191 or at dtvnews.org
Macho Man, Space Travel, and Tee-Ball. What do these have to do with each other? FNL! FNL is a production put on by DTV for the past 2 years during May, FNL stands for “Friday Night Live” and is a spoof of “Saturday Night Live.” The show consists of live skits preformed in the DHS auditorium and digital shorts in-between live skits played on the auditorium’s projector. This is the 3rd year in a row DTV has put this show on, the show was an idea of DTV Alumni Christian Thwing’s and he proposed the show in his junior year of high school. The show was a way to show what the Promotions department of DTV had to offer in comparison to DTV’s Sports and News departments, since the Promotions department had never really done their own special. The first two shows in 2014 and 2015 were a resounding success, and DTV is shooting for the stars with the 3rd show. This year’s cast list includes:
- Merek Alam
- Cain Pedersen
- Dane Morgan
- Grant Polmanteer
- Trace Clinton
- Lucas Magno
- Colin O’Lear
- Calvin Phillips
- Chris Kazor
- Suleiman Matarweh
And this year’s host is Dane Morgan! And in the middle of the show will be a musical performance from Chloe Pedersen and Jacob Prim.
Here’s a preview of some of the goofs and gaffs to be seen! Make sure you don’t miss out on some good laughs!
Busy Two Weeks For DTV
DTV has been nothing but busy! Last week we started off on the first page of Detroit News. On Wednesday, DTV headed to the Capitol where we got the chance to get a one on one interview with the Governor. Then we went to Lansing to the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association where DTV became the first official high school broadcasting program to be put into the Hall of Fame after 9 Spartan awards in a 10 year time span. Many students also got individual awards for their hard work. This Monday ABC 12 and NBC 25 came to DTV and Undrinkable 2 was released!
