LANSING (DTV) – (04/23/2019) – Tuesday morning the staff and students of DTV made their way to Lansing for the spring Michigan Interscholastic Press Association awards ceremony. The students marched into the Lansing center with high hopes, and a little bit of nervousness, among hundreds of other Michigan student journalists.
The award ceremony consisted of several categories for media in video, yearbook, newspaper, and digital. DTV won 25 individual awards and 2 staff awards, including the highest award of the day, the Spartan award. DTV has won 11 Spartan awards since 2006. In 2016 the broadcast class was inducted into the MIPA Student Media Hall of Fame, which is for winning 9 Spartan awards within 10 years. DTV was the first video broadcast program to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
DTV is extremely proud of our students and how hard they work. Congratulations to all of them.
