Community members were able to vote for their favorite designs on the GCRC Facebook page. Elementary, Middle School, and High School were all separate categories for the community to vote on. Overall, 12 different schools entered the contest with 76 different art entries in total.
The winners were Reid Elementary, Atherton Elementary, and Davison High School! Davison’s own Lucy Stevens’ design won for DHS. After the winners were announced, GCRC dropped off a plow to each school for the students to paint their designs on. When finished, the plows will be displayed outside each school’s nearest GCRC facility and used in winter maintenance operations.
