On August 19th, Donald Trump came to The Summit Sports Complex in Dimondale, Michigan. Trump was fresh off a plane after visiting the flooded cities of Louisiana. He spoke about the spirits of the people there and how the American nation never gives up. His famous line, “Make America great again” lead his campaign and the many new platforms he set that day.
While he was there reassured the crowd on his most controversial platform, his plans for immigration and building the wall. ” Our border will be protected, and our children will be safe, very very safe.” ” And we will build the wall, don’t worry about it. ” The crowd erupted in cheers as he continued on.
He also added in a new platform on African Americans, that he believed would relate to the Mid Michigan people, so close to Detroit. ” 58% of your youth is unemployed” He believes that this is the Democrats fault and spoke of how to fix it.
