Bill Clinton made way to Saginaw and Flint to rally up votes for Presidential Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. The event was open to the public and Flint was proud to stand in front of their former president. Clinton stressed the importance of the election, the amount of change it will bring, and America from an economic point of view. Clinton tried breaking down the barriers of political parties and focusing working together. Working together to find answers rather than acting out of anger. These are the sort of changes Clinton believes the election will bring. He gave personal experiences to prove most actions made out of anger are regrettable. Clinton left an underlying message that Republican nominee Donald Trump is too temperamental and voting for him would be dangerous for Americans. He made a joke:
“If you don’t want someone to drive the truck off the cliff, don’t give them the keys.”
Throughout the speech Clinton had never said his name, or directly stated anything about him. Ending his speech Clinton asked Americans to think about the election, do you choose answers or anger, empowerment or resentment, walls or bridges. He believes the answer is simple, all you need to do is go out and vote.
