SAGINAW COUNTY, Mich. (DTV) – (03/10/21) – Saginaw Valley State University announced that they are offering free tuition for eligible new students this fall.
It’s called the “SVSU Cardinal Commitment”. This financial aid package provides four years of free tuition for eligible first-time college students in Michigan who have a family adjusted gross income of $50,000 or less and meet eligibility criteria. Even if your family income is more, you still may be eligible for other scholarships and grants.
You must also be a Michigan resident, have completed the FAFSA, and you must be a full- time undergraduate student (minimum of 12 credits each semester) during the Fall and Winter semesters to be eligible.

Complete your FAFSA – A very necessary step you need to do is complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to verify your income. Use SVSU’s code: 002314
Complete your enrollment – Once you are admitted as a first-time in college student and completed your FASFA, you will receive a financial aid award letter email notification. If eligible, this award letter will reflect the SVSU Cardinal Commitment.
