LANSING (DTV) – (2/14/2023) – On Monday, February 13th three Michigan State Students were killed and 5 more injured by 43-year-old gunman Anthony McRae. The 5 injured victims were transported to Sparrow Hospital in critical condition and still remain critical Tuesday afternoon. Brian Fraser from Grosse Point and Alexandria Verner from Clawson were found to be two of the victims killed late Monday night.
At approximately 8:18 PM the first call about shots fired was reported at Berkey Hall. Police responded in minutes finding multiple victims including 2 who were killed. Directly after the first call, another was reported at Union Hall which is near the first scene where another victim was found dead.
The manhunt continued until nearly midnight when McRae saw Law Enforcement coming down East Lake Lansing Road towards him. McRae died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
This is the second school shooting in Michigan in 14 Months since Oxford in November of 2021, more information is continuing to be released on Monday’s attack. For updates please visit MSU Police and Public Safety
