DAVISON (DTV) – (10/08/2020) – DHS Principal Ron Jacobs sent out an email to the community informing us of a recent change of plans…
On Friday, the Davison Cardinal football team will NOT be facing Saginaw Heritage because their football team is in quarantine.
Athletic Director Dave Beamer is trying to find an opponent to compete with, but there is no luck so far.
However, the annual Homecoming Parade is still a-go! The parade will start at 5 pm on Friday and the marching band, dance, cheer and pom teams, football players, freshmen, sophomore and junior class representatives, and homecoming court will be there!
One change to note is that the path is completely reverse of the original:
- The parade will begin near the Davison Library
- It’ll continue south on Main Street
- Then, it will turn east on Clark St
- Arrive at Davison High School
Ron Jacobs made some more important items to note:
- If we do not find a team to play and there is no football game, we will run the halftime ceremonies immediately upon the conclusion of the parade. Performances by the marching band, cheer, pom and dance teams will take place as well as the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and King and Mr. and Miss Congeniality.
- If we do find a team to play and there is a football game, the ceremonies will be held at halftime as normal.
- Students who purchase tickets may use their ticket to attend the halftime show. If a student has already purchased a ticket and would prefer not to attend, he/she may take their ticket to the Athletic Office and exchange it for a refund.
- Parents who received a ticket because their child is performing may still attend.
- We apologize but due to crowd requirements under Health Department executive orders, we cannot allow anyone without a ticket into the stadium.
DTV will be streaming the parade LIVE as well as the halftime performances and celebrations. Watch on our YouTube page or on Charter channel 191.
