DAVISON (DTV) – (08/07/2024) – The DHS 2024 Graduation was filled with emotions. After a heartfelt speech from the DHS Principal Mr. Piger, the choir took the stage to perform “Bridge Over Troubled Waters.”
Following the performance, the class of 2024’s valedictorian, Devin Vo, gave his speech. He reminds us not to let life pass you by, saying “We don’t experience life. We experience a life,” and that
“it’s the journey that matters and not the destination. It’s the lessons we gather along the way that shape a sense of who we will become.”
Mrs. Johnson, the teacher elected by the graduates to give a commencement speech, took the stage to teach her students one last lesson. “Once in a career, you meet a group of students who changes your life. You are mine.”
Before diplomas were handed out, Matt Lobban gave his first commencement speech as Davison Superintendent. “Today is a milestone, not just in your academic journey, but in your lives as you step into a world that eagerly awaits the next chapter of your talents, your passions, and your dreams.”
