DAVISON (DTV) – (1/9/2020) – The Davison Cardinal football team has won their second regional in a row beating out a tough opponent that is Detroit Catholic Central.
After Davison’s star quarterback Brendan Sullivan stated he won’t be playing in the rest of the playoffs after the second shutdown, a player who is known as a wide receiver took his place.
Sullivan couldn’t continue playoffs because he graduated early to continue his football career at Northwestern, resulting in Davison’s #1 taking his spot, Dion Brown Jr.
Brown threw for two touchdowns and 151 yards, getting the W the Cards needed to continue to semi-finals.
Looking at the defensive side of things, senior Harrison Hunger contributed massively to the Davison win.
Here are the highlights of the Davison vs. Detroit Catholic Central MHSAA D1 Regional game:
Davison will be playing against Rockford on the 16th of January at 1pm, the location is yet to be announced.
