DAVISON (DTV) – (1/20/2021) – The Davison Cardinals are officially going back to Ford Field for the second time in a row. It was just last year the Cards defeated Sterling Heights Stevenson in an intense overtime with a final score of 34-27 leading them to compete in the state final.
This time around it was not that tough for the Cardinals, even without their All-State Quarterback Brenden Sullivan. Dion Brown Jr is taking the Quarterback position very well so far and has a total of 248 Passing yards, 3 Touchdown Passes, and no Interceptions so far on the season. You can tell his intelligence on the field is what Coach Weingarzt has been talking about since Brown took over the Quarterback position a few weeks ago.
The Cards managed to hold themselves together, in part because of their incredible defense, but of course, their offense also played a part too. Davison is looking to win another state title against West Bloomfield. They play at 1 p.m. Saturday January 23rd at Ford Field. You can catch the game on Fox Sports Detroit. DTV will also be there to keep you updated on our social media pages.
