DAVISON (DTV) – (3/10/2020) – DECA, robotics, and band and orchestra all had some great performances this past weekend.
At Oxford, our band and orchestra competed in the Musical Festival at Oxford High School.
On Friday, String orchestra managed to score a 2 overall while the Symphonic orchestra made a clean sweep with all ones.
Then Saturday, Concert Band and Wind Ensemble both scored all ones.
The Davison Band and Orchestra’s reaction to earning all 1’s, the best score possible.
On Saturday, Davison’s DECA chapter sent 30 members to Detroit for the state-wide competition. They competed in categories like financial literacy and business planning. They ended up with 17 overall finalists and 12 state champions.
What a great State DECA Conference with a bright & dynamic group! We ended 17 overall finalists & 12 State Champions. More importantly, the students' behavior was outstanding and represented our school very well. Thank you to Mr. Walters & Mrs. Mazen for your help chaperoning. pic.twitter.com/JehdLhUEcI

Our House of Cards FIRST Robotics team dominated their competition at Kettering this weekend, coming away with a first place finish. This is their first time earning first place at the Kettering competition. The event consisted of 40 teams, and after 12 games they racked up 10 wins and only 2 losses. They’re now ranked tenth in Michigan out of nearly 600 teams!
Here is your winning House of Cards team! Coach Chris Purdy says all of the students worked so hard to earn the team’s first win at Kettering, which is our home event! Great job! pic.twitter.com/KVQ4nFdsli
