DAVISON (DTV)-(02/4/19) Recently the Little Caesars franchise in Genesee County changed hands. In December 2018 the Sheroski family sold all of their 21 Little Caesars locations in Genesee county and Durand to Mac Pizza, LLC.
Tom and Theresa Sheroski and nine of their children have been running the franchise part of Little Caesars since 1964. Tom Sheroski became the 13th franchisee in Little Caesars history when he opened a store in Wyandotte Michigan. Sheroski was then asked by company owner, Mike Ilitch, if he would be willing to open the first franchise in Genesee County. Tom Sheroski thought for a moment and replied “Ok, but I want exclusive rights to the whole county.” 55 Years later the family is selling the stores.
Christopher Perras is the new district manager for Mac Pizza and says the move was the right time. “I do feel like it was the right place at the right time, and a good family came together with a good company that wanted to honor them and it was a good pairing”
Mr. Perras discussed some changes coming to the 21 locations currently operating. He indicated that the stores will get some renovations to make them look more like Little Caesars locations nationwide. Perras also indicated that the number of stores would remain the same, or increase, keeping the 350-400 pizza jobs intact.
“The Sheroski family did a great job.” said Perras. “They were the 13th franchise and are the oldest franchise in the company. We don’t see a lot of opportunity to change what they did. They did a great job. What we want to do is to make sure we are bringing it as close to Little Caesars standards as humanly possible.”
The sale was finalized on December 22nd, 2018 and new management has already begun updating locations.
