The Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP) is also seeking volunteers! Located at the Hurley Medical Center, HELP is a caring program for hospitalized older patients.
The first step in signing up for this is registering online and attending a volunteer orientation which is held monthly. Online applications can be located on their website.

The Care Team has volunteer opportunities in the following areas:
Administrative Volunteer: This volunteer needs to take on administrative tasks such as creating packets, mailings or assisting in filing. Work will be done in a calm environment where snacks are provided and hours are flexible! They must be between office hours of 8:30am—4:30pm. Standard volunteer commitment is two times per month for an hour and a half. The office is at 5401 Gateway Center Drive, Suite D, in Flint. Student must be 16 years old and be able to complete background check.
Direct Patient Care: These volunteers will take apart in fun activities and sit with patients to give them support emotionally. They will be put with a hospice patient at a facility in a network nearby. Volunteers are expected to be there between hours 10:00am—5:00pm, weekend visitation is available.
